I just read 200 pages in a book. It's been a while since i last read something other than chat text, articles or blogs posted on the internet. I think the last full book I read was the last harry potter one back in 2007. And something I had forgotten is just how easy it is to read. How immersed you become in the book. That for a brief period of time, that book becomes just as real and alive as the world we live in. It's fun to read :)
In other news, still feeling ill and tired, so this update gonna be pretty short. The words just don't come as easily when you're tired. And the words that does come out, you end up repeating. In fact, this is it. Be well all.
Oh btw, the book is Duma Key by Stephen king. Love his books.

I like Stephen King too. I recently also re-read the first 3 Harry Potter books. I'm having trouble bringing myself to read the fourth. I like reading but I've had trouble getting back into it too. I managed to get a bit into Dracula over my holiday and now I've not picked it up since. Bah. Again, get well soon.
ReplyDeleteOh geez, been a long time since my last book... Damn, I need to improve myself a lot.
ReplyDeleteI'm such a slow reader of fiction I can read about 80 pages a day at most. I get so into it, imagining how everything looks, visualizing how the actions play out, what the characters look like, I end up stopping every paragraph of so and thinking on what I read!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than getting completely lost in a good book.
ReplyDeleteI am stuck living in a world where the only books I get to read are assigned to me. Sometimes they are ok. Most of the time they are dry and boring. Once I graduate, however, I will read just for the hell of it!
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy to do a guest post, it'd be helpful if you could come up with what to do it on, but right now you need to rest up lol. Just drop an email on the contact page, or leave a comment.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ready any of his books yet. Hmm..I read twilight though. (vampire sucks!) haha!
ReplyDeleteAlso, romance pocketbooks. haha!
being immersed in a book is tons of fun, but i don't do it much either
ReplyDeleteLast book I read by myself, not for school, was Harry Potter. Might need to get back on that.

ReplyDeleteI've not read that King. Some people just laugh him off, but I would try that reccomendation.
ReplyDeleteThe last book I read was Mogworld by Yahtzee. Not sure if it counts as an actual book.
ReplyDeleteThe words definitely come alot slower when you are tired and worn down. But I also find that in that 'stupor' sometimes comes the most interesting ideas and posts...
ReplyDeleteI find reading hard for me if the words are "big"
ReplyDeletesince English is not my first language.
it must have been 4 or 5 years since the last time i read a book. :/ that's too bad... i must start reading again!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit lazzy when it comes about reading books. I like very much Dan Brown's books though.
